Surviving the corporate (career) life cycle

Ever since the MNCs started ruling the job market around the World, various theories evolved around an employees career. We see and hear of many roles and positions and job profiles which were never heard of a decade and half, ago..! We experience a life cycle of up and downs, of the shelf-life of star performers and even the shelf-life of skill sets..!! Those who are in IT and BPOs would definitely understand the shelf-life of skill sets..!
All it takes is being a student throughout, re-inventing every two years and following industry trends and statistics..! After all it is .. survival of the longest shelf life career..! survival of the ..'fittest'.! What say..?

The "secret" law of attraction..

My rendezvous with belief of 'law of attraction' was through Imon Ghosh's internal training at office. Until date, I did not hear of that. Imon did no marketing of the philosophy and told us to be skeptical about the whole thing. I was wondering those vague observations of powerful visual thinking (often the negative ones being realised) had a name called 'law of attraction'. I am scared to think negative as I observe them nearly happening.
Somewhere the "Alpha" meditation too, related to same belief. But what ever the beliefs are, no experimentation needed to learn that " Yad bhavaha Thad Bhavathi" (Sanskrit) the results are out of actions derived from a powerful visualisation some where in the surroundings..!
We don't lose any thing by thinking positive.. so why not.. ?

Earthy Philosophies & commercial punch lines..

I get "connected" to the commercials often when they are different, have a message or simply touch some part of human emotions. The latest one is the commercial of "fast track" accessories focused at teens and youth. It is portraying carefree attitude with "move-on", the punch line..!!
Do good or do bad or do nothing... and move on..Being in the hangover of good, bad or inertia block the way forward for progress. So, move on..

Being passionate.. being emotional and being successfull..
Few months ago, my employer (A retail multinational based in Germany) conducted a management conference for the managers. Every small and big idea conveyed to the team had an effort to ignite a team spirit, unity and passion..! The team had every single individual with self centered goals of career, rivalry, reward, remuneration and self esteem..! The video clippings, the moderator's carefully chosen words and event manager's games all tried to steer this set of managers into goal orientation of collective success (nothing but the company's). Every one had good time though.. it is meant to be so, no matter how 'collective' they feel after coming of the conference hall!! Mostly forgotten, skeptical, over critical and cynical..!
All that is seen and observed and internalized.. one that is sure is the power of being passionate!! An innate fire and restlessness in a person or a group to attain something has the history of future written about success..! A tangible result, often achieved with better than the model.. a creation of master piece that every one else envied of..!
Pray that fire within all of us keep going and that let always be positive, constructive and for the betterment of us, our families, friends and everything around us..! A fire that is otherwise ....what..?
A long drive towards east coast of India, to a lively town called Pondicherry with hopes of spending some good time, resulted into a peak season blues of a favourit holiday spot. Nonetheless, aggressive each coast sea and unfulfilled desire of getting back to the getaway and nostalgia.
Another ad-hoc long night drive to return to Bangalore..I witnesseth a closely following truck and cars on Krishnagiri - Hosur-Bangalore four lane with a speed of 100kmph, with an adrilaline rush, hold your breath, "there is no other skill set as that of a KSRTC drivers'.". et al at early hours of 2:00AM of a given day..! All I could think of is nothing is certain but death, taxes and TRAFFIC...!! The new age reality..! At a tolled four lane luxury, a rarity though.. apparantly a strive of an undeserving to meet the expectation..!
