Insights of a leader - as I perceive..

Looking at the title, dont get confused that I could be writting about MK Gandhi, Sue Kyi or Obama..!
This is for fellow employees like me who are one with rat race and read such books (if it exists) called "how to be the first rat in the rat race - for dummies" ..in simple terms, for those who have career aspirations... It is worth every word in it..my word for you..
I am writting about the excerpts from interview with a leader from an MNC. His experience as I perceived...

He wrote in his diary on Dec 10 of 2012;
Today I shared my growth story with one of my departments. I told them 'make your challenges public' because it reminds the commitment and keeps the pressure for success on...Take responsibilities.. Either do exceptionally well in one area or take up multiple responsibilities.. and grow faster..
There are different styles of leadership. Every style is necessary depending upon the stage or maturity of organization.....I share my experiences with them.. and told them that 'ask for feedback from people, +ve or negative.. they payback in longrun..Take the services of experts ..dont try to do it everything yourself..
..do work hard when needed.. but dont make it a habit...take calculated breaks also..it improves your efficency..Do not worry about mistakes as long as there is no BIG RISK...you learn from it..Sometimes problems are normal.. Keep the problems known to all ...optimism is the catalyst...
I told them to ask questions.. and one of the team members asked me how did I take over in a far of country...? I told the team ..how important is the skill set.. I had some skillset.. and I knew where I had to start..My country knowledge and style of my pre-decessor.. That worked for me.. I told them they need to think through and do the same..
I also told them how important it is to keep the credibility.... Maintaining the fact is only way of credibility..
Meanwhile one of the guy asked me ...how did I manage the peers...when I was taking position over them.. I told him....that the hierarchy is decided by the company... so they must oblige.. get over the initial discomfort ..and things will fall in place.. Because.. it does not last longer.. Things change and I should be ready for such changes as well...When there is an opportunity, be ready... I hope the guys understood the idea..
I told them how good it is to read.. The habit of reading.. It may not add up to your job.. but to you as individuals...I told them to have a non-job passion...It is good to have...

My boss told me ..think like boss and you will have less gyan from your boss..! I tried to think like super boss..and could write his diary..I guess I have done a pretty good job..!! Well done Sush!! Keep it up!!
